I'm Heidi, a stay-at-home-homeschooling mom, a 21st century home-maker. Here I share an honest perspective of motherhood, while choosing to see the JOY in the mundane. I'm a coffee lover, a project girl, and always up for adventure. My biggest adventure yet is life with four little ones. So often it's hard and unglamorous, but seeing the joy is possible with the right focus. Come along!
"Everyone also to whom God has given weatlh and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil, this is the gift of God. For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart."
As a mother of four curious, independent, adventure-seeking, strong-willed children, I considered myself 'occupied.' My home is often loud and buzzing. There is usually a mixture of cheerios, nuts, legos and train tracks strewn about my living room floor, and I've got a mountain of laundry that only seems to be growing in size. That said, I choose to 'rejoice' in it! It's my life, and I'm learning that it's all about perspective. I want to remember this. I want to capture every mess, every adventure, every little expression, a twinkle, put, and grin - so in later years, when my house is clean, still, and quiet, and the laundry is all caught up, I will be reminded of all those precious details that are so easily forgotten in the difficulty and chaos of motherhood.
IT'S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE
