Bible Journaling | Three of my favorite supplies to get you started

I took up Bible-journaling about a year ago as a way to really meditate on God’s word.  If you follow me on Instagram, you will notice that I post my Bible-journaling images every Sunday.  It combines my love of the Word, my love for typography & photography, and my love of black pens. ;)  I’ve…

Demo Days

So, we moved into this new (old) house a few months ago.  It is a solid, clean, well built home.  But, it was built in the 70’s so needs a liiittle updating.  It is dark.  I’m talking chocolate brown walls, layers and layers of wallpaper, dark stained trim, tiny rooms, heavily tree covered.  In the…

B L O G

My goal is to be a home-maker.  But honestly, I have too many interests, and way too little time.  My mental to-list is always full.  I have projects lined up from before my oldest son was born... He's 11!  I often feel disappointed in myself for not "getting anything done," and then God taps me on the shoulder and shows me that my perspective is so small.  What is my priority?  By His grace, I am reminded of the big picture.  My priorities are my husband, my home, my children.  Ohh, the children.  I want to, "teach them diligently when we sit in our house, when we walk by the way, when we lie down, and when we rise up."  Deuteronomy 6:4-9  Regardless of what's on my to-do list, I am choosing joy in the everyday mundane.  I believe, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." 3 John 1:4  So here I share with you what I'm learning about keeping the home while raising little ones, hoping together we can be accountable, day by day, choosing joy, with the right focus.  "Whatever ye do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord." Colossians 3:17

Here we go!  One day at a time.

Focus.

It's all about perspective.
