Upcycle your Furniture

When it comes to thinking about renovating your garden space, outdoor furniture can be one of the most expensive things to think about. Instead of splashing out on brand new ones, try upcycling your existing ones for your outdoor makeover. A bit of vibrant colored paint, or investing in affordable alternatives such as big floor pillows, beanbags and hammocks are a great way to spruce up space and give you somewhere to sit and relax. I even use logs, from trees we've had to take down, as my my side tables.

Light it Up

It does not matter whether it is summer or winter; twinkle lights will always look cosy and welcoming. They create a sense of ambience and make everything feel a bit more special. Even better, they are cheap and easy to put up and can turn a boring garden into a pretty paradise. Hang them from branches of trees, on your patio, on walls and fences and invest in some freestanding ones to light up the paths without being too bright. You can also get creative and place tiny fairy lights in glass jars or intertwined lights to make your shrubs and plants shine – it makes everything feel a little bit magical!

One of the easiest ways to keep your garden looking tidy and welcoming is to keep your shrubs and trees under control. Regular maintenance is the best way to stay on top of it, but places like sydney tree can help if things have gotten beyond control or you do not have the time. Another suggestion: If the kiddos are bored or need a behavioral consequence, have them pull weeds! They love that one! ;)

Upgrading your garden can be as simple as getting rid of any unnecessary furniture or items that take up space. Less is more, right?! Create a tidy and welcoming area that you can be proud of. Segmenting your garden into areas by hedges, trees or screens will create the impression of a larger space and make it enjoyable for visitors to explore! You may have a private dining patio to enjoy with family and friends, a fruit or vegetable garden, or an idyllic spot devoted to sitting in the middle of nature.

Water features make a stunning focal point and are an easy way of adding charm and interest, and depending on your location, attract an assortment of the fascinating wildlife that can support your local ecosystem. From ponds to water fountains, the inventive possibilities are limitless! Hearing trickling water is considered to be one of the most soothing sounds, so adding a water feature will make your garden a space you can't get enough of.
